I am an artist, arts educator, and writer on arts education, specializing in drawing. As an artist, my focus is on the human figure and landscape in drawing and watercolor painting. As an educator, my courses balanced studio art and art education. My research domains include: creativity and cognition in the arts, the history and philosophy of drawing instruction, holistic education, Multiple Intelligence theory, and semiotics.
